I’ve been a regular at Heart and Soul for a couple of years now. I love the calm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere as I walk in.
I spend much of my time in the gym/equipment/free weights section, which I absolutely love. I always feel comfortable, yet motivated and inspired to work harder.
I attend regular personal training sessions with Katie, which I would highly recommend. And while I love going to the gym on my own, having that person to challenge me (both physically and mentally) is incredible. Katie always knows when and how to push me, and has helped me to build up great confidence and belief in myself and my physical abilities – and abilities that I really didn’t know I had!
There are also a couple of cardio and high intensity classes that I attend at the gym, which I have grown to crave during the week! They are tough and incredibly challenging, but so rewarding when I’ve successfully completed them.
My workouts are complemented by a couple of yoga sessions a week, which I find is great to stretch and help my muscles recover. Not to mention incredible stress relief and great to clear the mind! Sarah Thomson
" Heart and sourl health club is my little 'get away' during the week, I feel calm and relaxed as soon as I walk in, the calming scent and background music prepare me for my one hour 'stress free' Yoga pratice. Friendly staff and experienced Yoga instructors are always there to help. The classes are catered for all levels, beginners to advanced yogi, different postures are demonstrated to suit all, we are reminded by the instructors to work at our own level to avoid unnecessary injuries - so no pressure to become a 'super yogi' overnight at all !!
The club also has a fully equipped gym for a good cardio work out.

Our twice weekly yoga sessions, enjoyed over the last two years with Lisa H at Heart and Soul Health Club are keenly anticipated, creating a small island of peace and bliss amidst the intensity of our home based endeavours..
We love Lisa's interpretations of the asanas and the benefits they confer and the ancient wisdom she often intersperses with the meditative poses, providing insights which although thousands of years are old, seem to be spot on for 2012.
We always feel nurtured from the warm welcome as we arrive at the top of the stairs to the friendly farewell as we leave the premises to return to the hurley burley of the third dimension. Fiona and Mark

Since becoming a member of Heart and Soul I'm the happiest and healthiest I've ever been in my life. The initial personal training has really helped me stay focused and motivated and I now have he confidence to venture beyond the treadmill and make use of all the gym has to offer. Heart and Soul has such a friendly, accepting atmosphere, being greeted with a smile from the friendly staff who seem to know each member personally. Likewise the instructors take he time to get to know you and the classes are great and suitable for all fitness levels. Overall, joining heart and soul was the best decision I made all year. "With a bit of trepidation I joined Heart and Soul in Crows Nest in late 09. I say trepidation because I had [deliberately] never joined any sort of gym or health club before. Well the trepidation didn't last past the first 5 minutes. What a wonderful decision I made! I find myself arranging my work day around my Yoga classes now. I cannot think of a more friendly nurturing environment to exercise the body and mind. The teachers are wonderfully instructive and supportive. They are very approachable and always happy to provide advice and extra help where needed. And the other members also contribute to the easy going non competitive atmosphere. Heart and Soul is by far the most positive health club experience of my life. They have a gift, for welcoming all members and have established a warm environment in which everyone feels comfortable to exercise in a way that suits them. Joining Heart and Soul was just the lift both physically and mentally that I needed for my second pregnancy. The time out in a nurturing environment was just perfect and it certainly contributed to a great birth and quick recovery. Now I'm able to enjoy the experience with my two children who are regulars at the creche. I felt uncomfortable leaving my first child in a gym creche before joining Heart and Soul. Here I feel that their wellbeing is fully considered and the atmosphere alone makes for a lovely place for them to spend time, giving me some "me time" and them some too

I started yoga at Heart & Soul nearly 3 years ago. From my very first visit I felt more alive and through the years my practice has had a positive effect on my life, physically and mentally. After each class, I feel energised and confident. The instructors at the studio are passionate and supportive which is evident in each class. I thank all the instructors for providing such a positive and friendly environment to practice yoga. They have helped me to understand and experience the benefits of yoga in my every-day life.
